One of the better remakes of the decade. It has been suggested that the lead player in the original, Robin Williams, would be pleased. VFXWorld ran this great interview with an old friend of mine in Melbourne at Iloura. VFX Supervisor Glenn Melenhorst takes up the story of recreating a fully CG ravine filled with wild rhinos. Then Iloura animation supervisor Nicholas Tripodi describes flying a fully loaded helicopter through the whole thing. One of the most intense fully CG sequences attempted by the studio in its history.
